Weihwasser translates into 'holy water' and is an apt name for this generous Riesling that seems to just set the mood. The 60 year old vines are planted on slate soils in St. Aldegunder Klosterkammer. After hand-harvest, some of the grapes are destemmed and them ferment in old 1000 liter fuders. Dr. Ulli Stein and his young protégé, Philip Lardot, are the winemakers at this 6 hectare estate. Distributor Notes
