Emphasising purity and terroir rather than flor-aging notes, this is Savagnin ouillé sourced from the fossil-rich marl soils of L’Étoile, in Jura’s southwest. The grapes were pressed and put directly into large oak barrels. The resulting wine is superb. So fine, racy and delicious with lovely texture and a gorgeous, tangy close.
