- A selection of the best barrels of pinot noir that go into making this
- Powerful and expressive blancs de noirs, get into it
Each year the Pinot which Rémi feels has the best aging potential is reserved for the Blanc de Noirs Millésimé, it then spends a minimum of five years aging sur-lie to give a complex vinous champagne, disgorged 2020.
Expect candied fruit on the nose. Elegant, rounded and layered with confit quince and well integrated acidity. This works brilliantly with food.
Technical details

About the house
An oenologist and agronomist, Remi Leroy was trained in Bordeaux. Along with his father they manage their family vineyards of 8 hectares in Meurville, Côte des Bar. The terroir is exceptional, composed of clay-limestone from the Jurassic period. Their flagship grape is Pinot Noir (72% of their vineyards) which is the star grape in the region, the rest being 20% Chardonnay and 8% Pinot Meunier. Remi and his father and working on replanting Chardonnay to give more diversity to their winemaking. Their wines are simply superb and speak for themselves.
