Pooley Wines - Cooinda Vale Vineyard Chardonnay - 2021

Chardonnay from the 1985-planted Cooinda Dale vineyard in the Coal River Valley; wild barrel fermentation, 60% mlf, nine months in 40% new French oak barriques. A beautiful wine from one of Tasmania's stars. The ’21 is a picture of purity, length and detail with pristine stone and citrus fruits sheathed in gentle spice and notes of white flowers, toasted nuts, almond paste, grapefruit pith, oyster shell and lemon zest. There is a shimmering clarity to the palate, long and true with just a hint of oatmeal and a long, sustained finish.
