When we set out to recreate the great Ceylon arrack of the 19th century, we did not realise the stir it would cause in the spirit industry. Old Reserve Real 34 uses the wonderful original recipes that 19th century expert blenders Aybrook and Mason devised, meaning this is as close as it gets to pure original coconut arrack as it should be. Delicious on the tongue, you get the full effect of pure and carefully harvested coconut spirit that has been matured in teak and Halmilla vats for added flavour. You’ll taste that delightful wood and smoky effect that comes from the maturation process, as well as the taste of coconut and vanilla that are the basics of a great arrack. Such was the success of Old Reserve Real 34 that we were inspired to add two more examples to the range – Old Reserve 47 and Old Reserve 42 Revival – which each have their own flavour and taste notes.
