Mayer - Chardonnay - 2024

2024 not yet reviewed, 2023 review below: I like that Timo does his tastings with the red wines first, then into the real deal with white wine. Fragrant white at just shy of medium weight, licked at by Jura-esque saline and gently sherry-like characters, nutty savouriness amongst a cavalcade of red apple, pretty grapefruit notes and cumquat and light vanilla cream. Beautiful wine, slips over the palate with a gentle slickness before fining up in a powdery dryness mingling with briny minerality. Wonderful expression. 95 Points Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
