Lake's Folly - Chardonnay - 2023

A 100% estate-grown chardonnay from the original plantings on the flat. It is an unashamedly bolder, riper style and an excellent example of its type. The juice from crushed fruit begins fermentation in a tank before being transferred to French barriques of mixed age for completion, followed by eight-month maturation on lees. The result is a wildly concentrated, satisfying wine with clotted cream, peach and lemon cheesecake layers encasing an intense grapefruit core.
