Jack Daniel’s 1905 Liege Belgium Gold Medal – 750ml (Released in 1997)
Jack Daniel was not only a Master Distiller who knew the craft of making fine sipping whiskey but also a true small-town gentleman who had a knack for forming lasting friendships. In 1904, during the St. Louis World’s Fair, Jack Daniel became friends with Mr. M. Hoctor from Great Britain. The Englishman believed that the world would embrace the unique taste of Jack’s charcoal-mellowed whiskey and encouraged him to introduce it to Europe. Following this advice, Jack Daniel sent his whiskey abroad, and in 1905, it was awarded a Gold Medal in Liege, Belgium.
The second release in the Gold Medal series, this 750ml bottle, launched in 1997, commemorates Jack Daniel’s 1905 Gold Medal win. A 1-liter version was also produced for international markets.
Starting in 1996 and continuing over the next decade, the Jack Daniel Distillery introduced its Gold Medal Series, a collection of seven distinct bottle designs, each celebrating a different gold medal awarded to the distillery. In the U.S., the bottles were available in 750ml sizes, filled with 90 proof whiskey, while international markets received the bottles in 1-liter sizes, with the first bottle in the series being an exception, available only in 750ml.
All bottles have been stored in their original 6 x 750ml delivery case and are in mint condition
Bottles are available to be registered on jackdaniels.com and a certificate of ownership will be forwarded by Jack Daniel’s.
