Hofgut Falkenstein - Riesling Euchariusberg Auslese - 2022

The 2022er Krettnacher Euchariusberg Riesling Auslese Förster (the reference to this internal cask name is provided in small print on the label after the AP number) was made from clean fruit harvested rather late at 90° Oechsle from vines planted in the 1960s in the prime Gross Schock sector of the vineyard and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar. It offers a fresh and delicately floral nose of bright white and yellow fruits, candied grapefruit, may tree, cassis, and smoke. The wine is magnificently playful and juicy on the clean and bright palate. The finish is very long and crystal clear. This is a splendid and refined Auslese. 95 Points Mosel Fine Wines, No. 66
