Henschke - Hill of Grace Shiraz - 2004

This is a great Henschke Hill of Grace. Pure, flashy, complex and long. Lots of floral flavour, blueberried and smooth. To-die-for tannin structure. To-die-for length. Mint, cedarwood, game, chalk and violets all make appearances. A great Eden Valley red, worthy of the name and of the reputation. For some reason I want to drink this one younger. It spent 18 months in 100% new French oak. Purple-colored, it reveals a breathtaking aromatic array of violets, pepper, leather, smoked meat, game, blueberry compote, and black cherry.
