Curiously, in 2022, I feel the Springvale is less approachable in youth than the Polish Hill. Usually, of course, it’s the other way round. Very intense and concentrated flavour. A bomb of lime and green apple, some floral/lily perfume, a fine white pepper dusty texture, very coiled up and firm, a whisper of aniseed, maybe, and a very long finish. Unusually tight and stony for a Watervale! An outstanding vintage for this wine. 95+ Points Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
