This is a rather unusual blend of Pinot Gris with the rarely seen German aromatic variety of Schonburger. Its a 60/40 blend and its been made in an amber style, being fermented on skins for one week and then pressed into old barrels. The slight bronze colour is evidence of the skin contact and fresh peach and melon fruits present themselves in the first instance. The mid palate is textured and well weighted with signs of elderflower and ground nuts before finishing with a mellow and slightly spiced finish.
