“Gentle but not invisible wood serves as a backdrop for spicy and distinctly earthy red and dark currant aromas that possess an unusual yet interesting top note of dried tangerine peel. As is the case with many of the Grivot 2013s the mouth feel of the middle weight plus flavors is relatively fine thanks to the refined if firm tannins that shape and support the suave, powerful and mouth coating finale. This moderately firm effort will also need all of 12 years or so to reveal its full potential. Worth considering. Outstanding. 91-93 Points/Drink 2025+” – Allen Meadows, Burghound “Bright, dark red. Pungent, expressive, highly complex aromas of black raspberry and flinty, smoky minerality, lifted by a lovely Vosne-like floral element. The palate presents a compelling combination of minerality and dark fruit intensity, with licorice and noble veggie notes adding another dimension. A rather baroque Nuits-Saint-Georges with outstanding energy, fine-grained tannins and slow-building length. Has a serious spine to support a leisurely evolution in the cellar. 91-94 Points/Drink 2023-2036.” – Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Media
