The 2017 Chambertin Grand Cru comes from a single parcel from the upper slopes (0.30 hectares). It has an outgoing, slightly spicy/Oriental bouquet, with hints of hoisin suffusing the black and red fruit and a discreet tobacco note underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, juicy tannin. This is quite grippy toward the finish, although it needs more brightness and refinement on the finish, which at the moment feels quite solid. 90-92 Points Neal Martin, vinous.com
