Dappled Wines - Appellation Chardonnay - 2023

Dappled Wines has been a joy to watch and experience over the past 10+ years and yes, value has been part of that joy. But the bigger truth is that the quality of the wines stand up to anyone and anything, regardless of price. This is a cool, penetrating chardonnay with a sweet burst of flavour running right through the palate and a beautifully honed finish. It’s impeccable. Peach, pear, citrus, steel and cedar flavours are presented in polished, pure form. The silk evident on the palate here is so well integrated it’s like a voice coming from inside the bare chest of chardonnay. Gee, this smells good! Aromas of stone fruits, hazelnuts and some struck match leads onto the saline, linear and long palate.
