Dappled Wines - Appellation Chardonnay - 2021

Apart from Dappled's usual minimal SO2 (nothing else added) declaration, this is an impeccably balanced and pure chardonnay that has highlighted the opening of the Peacock's Tail on its soaring finish. White peach, pink grapefruit and cashew provide the flavour. 96 Points James Halliday, The Wine Companion This has the intensity to satisfy but really it’s about the line and then the length. Cool nectarine, cooked apple, nashi pear and sweet herb notes come run through with hay, cedar, wet concrete and (as whispers) fennel. It doesn’t yet have a great deal of flesh but it will build it; already it feels incredibly seamless and composed.
