Buying on WineRelique

How does buying work?

Browse our curated collection, select your bottle, and add it to your cart. At checkout, complete payment securely through Stripe. WineRelique acts as the merchant of record - you are contracting directly with us. Once payment is confirmed, your order is dispatched and delivered to your door.

Do I need an account to buy?

You can purchase as a guest, but creating an account lets you track orders, access your purchase history, and save items.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and debit cards. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Can I buy as a gift?

Yes. Enter an alternative delivery address at checkout. We can include a personalised gift message - add it in the notes field. For significant gift purchases, contact our team directly.

The WR100 Rating

What is the WR100?

The WR100 is WineRelique's proprietary 100-point scoring system. Every bottle is assessed across six dimensions: quality (based on recognised professional assessments), rarity, market velocity, producer prestige, vintage strength, and maturity. Combined using our proprietary weighted methodology, it produces a single authoritative score.

What's the minimum WR100 score for listing?

85.00. Everything on WineRelique has been assessed and scored at 85.00 or above. If it doesn't meet the bar, it doesn't make the platform.

How is WR100 different from other scores?

Most scores reflect a single critic's opinion. WR100 incorporates six independent inputs including live market data, making it a more complete assessment of where a wine sits in today's marketplace.

Delivery

Where do you deliver?

Across Australia, to all eligible addresses. Delivery is subject to State and Territory liquor laws.

How long does delivery take?

You'll receive a tracking number at dispatch so you can follow your order. Delivery times depend on your location and the carrier - see our Delivery & Insurance page for details.

What if I'm not home?

Someone aged 18 or over must be present. Liquor cannot be left at unoccupied premises on the same day an order is received. Our carrier will follow standard re-delivery protocols.

Returns

Can I return a bottle if I change my mind?

No. We do not accept change-of-mind returns.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Contact us within 24 hours of receipt with photos and your original packaging. All orders are insured in transit. We'll arrange a replacement or refund.

What commission do you charge?

We retain a commission of 8.5% + GST on each sale, deducted before remittance. No upfront fees.

Do I need a liquor licence to sell?

Age Verification

How do you verify buyer age?

By purchasing on WineRelique, buyers warrant they are 18 years of age or older and are not purchasing on behalf of a minor. Delivery drivers may request proof of age. Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998, it is an offence to supply alcohol to a person under 18 years of age.
