Clarendon Hills Sandown Syrah 2020

The Syrah patch was established in the middle of the 1940s and produces a meagre 250–300 dozen grapes year. The Sandown Syrah patch faces west and contains a lot of ironstone. The location produces a distinctive incense-like spice that permeates the fruit and results in a very unusual expression of Blewitt Springs Syrah. With hidden power threaded throughout this highly fragrant and multi-layered, seamless example, cola, sarsaparilla, incense, blackcurrant, blueberry, black olive, Italian leather, Sandalwood, and roasted meat are all on display.
