The tank vinification keeps the wine precise and unmediated, no oak texture, no added weight, just the Cramant chalk and the character of the vintage. 2016 was a demanding year for Chardonnay across the Cote des Blancs, with late and uneven ripening following a growing season of record rainfall and frost. The wines that came through did so with genuine acidity and definition. Eight years on lees builds complexity through fine, integrated autolysis.
