Outstanding. A brooding and slightly grumpy nose reluctantly offers up an even more deeply pitched nose of cassis, black cherry, warm earth and spicy top notes. There is impressive richness and volume to the sappy and caressing yet powerful medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a beautifully long if ever-so-slightly rustic finish. This is one of those wines that is sufficiently structured to reward extended cellaring yet it's so rich that it should be accessible after only 5 or so years. 92 Points Allen Meadows, Burghound
