The 2020 Chablis Fôrets 1er Cru is taut and delineated on the complex, engaging nose, delivering plenty of green apples and revealing hints of musk and fennel with time. The intense palate is very well balanced and powerful. Quite fruit-driven and rounded toward the finish, so I suspect this will drink earlier than Piuze’s other cuvées.
