Taylors Visionary Cabernet

Taylors Wines, known as Wakefield Wines in certain regions, is an Australian producer in the Clare Valley. It has a large catalog of wines but is best known for the popular South Australian varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Riesling and Chardonnay.The winery was established in 1969 by Bill Taylor and his sons with the purchase of 178 hectares (430 acres) of land in the Clare Valley. Its alternative title, Wakefield Wines, comes from the vineyard's proximity to the Wakefield river. The first wine it produced was the 1973 Taylors Cabernet Sauvignon, which received critical praise when it won gold medals at every Australian national wine show in which it was entered.
