At 500 metres above sea level and just outside the Macedon Ranges GI, this is Mount Alexander. Has that proper stink of choc-mint, cassis, lavender and Chesterfield with whiffs of tobacco and clove. Fragrant as, an almost alpine experience of all that, so damn inviting and pretty, from hello. Succulent texture if not pure gloss and shine, ultra fine tannin, a fresh core of blood orange in cassis, milk chocolate, mint and saltbush with white pepper to taste.
