Domaine Armand Rousseau - Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru 'Les Cazetiers' - 2020

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru has one of the most impressive noses amongst the Cazetiers, despite some reduction, showing vibrant red fruit and mineralité. There is intensity and focus here. The palate is intense and packed with pure red fruit, smooth in texture, with fine acidity. It's lightly spiced towards the finish. This wine has density rather than grace, though the latter should develop with time in bottle.
