Domaine Matrot - Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Les Chalumeaux' - 2023

Mid lemon yellow, riper and sunnier but in a pleasingly floral idiom. I love the balance to this and there is a fine thread of acidity which really sets this apart, and a lovely little citrus tint to the fresh yet ripe apples. Grapes from the young vines caught the sun, did not make the cut and were sold off. What they bottled is marvellous though! 93-96 Points (5-Stars) Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy
