Outstanding. Once again there is just enough wood influence to merit pointing out setting off the slightly riper aromas of essence of white orchard fruit, hazelnut and a whiff of smoky mineral reduction. As one would reasonably expect, there is more size, weight and power if not quite the same stony character to the bigger-bodied flavors that deliver excellent length on the balanced and lightly austere finale. While this should be more than capable of repaying a decade of keeping, it's not so backward that it couldn't be approached after only 3 to 4 years. 93 Points Allen Meadows, Burghound
