Grosset - Polish Hill Riesling - 2016

Blistering intensity, inward concentration, lace-work wrought with steel. It starts with evocative scents of lime, wet slate, frangipani, tonic water. The palate sets off with velocity but finds a light lime-and-tonic juiciness, slate-like minerality and crisp tug to fruit and acidity. No hair out of place. It’s epically long, furious in energy, beautiful drinking albeit austere right now. Total classic, elevated by a great year. Drink 2017-2035. 95+ Points Mike Bennie, The Wine Front.
