From vines planted in '99; contains less than 3% marsanne/roussanne/viognier. A bright crimson red. Elegant and perfumed with its aromas of spiced red cherries, raspberries and white and black pepper together with a touch of violets. It's a little more approachable than the '22 at the same age, with silken and persistent tannins rounding out a beautifully balanced wine to drink now and over the next seven to 10 years. 95 Points Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion
