“Picked with 30% strictly selected botrytis grapes in the middle of October, the 2022 Erdener Treppchen Riesling Auslese (Gold Capsule) is intense and elegant on the well concentrated and slightly flinty nose. There are also saffron aromas that I haven't picked up since the 2014 vintage in the Mosel. On the palate, this is a lush and savory, quite pure and fresh but textured Auslese with quite intense fruit and a saline, tight and grippy finish. Still very young but juicy and intense, this Auslese will benefit from further bottle aging. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork.
