About This WineThe fruit comes from the Quarters Vineyard in the Brancott Valley within the Southern Valleys of Marlborough. The site features heavy clay loam soils and 27-year-old close-planted vines producing small, concentrated bunches. The vineyard is farmed with a regenerative agriculture mindset to promote deep root growth and site expression. The 2024 season shifted from a wet La Niña spring to a warm, dry El Niño summer, allowing slow flavour development and balanced acidity. The wine was hand-harvested, 15% whole bunch, wild-fermented in open-top fermenters, basket-pressed after more than 35 days on skins, and matured for 12 months in French oak barriques (20% new).Tasting NotesAppearance: Medium dark ruby with a youthful purple hue.
