2022 Kelvedon Estate Pinot Noir, Tasmania

Nestled just 10 kilometers south of Swansea on Tasmania's breathtaking East Coast, Kelvedon Estate unfolds its story in passionate hues. The coastal panorama stretching over Great Oyster Bay and Freycinet Peninsula is nothing short of jaw-dropping, with kilometers of unspoiled beauty commanding attention. Gazing westward reveals an equally enchanting sight – rolling hills adorned with native forest, a symphony of eucalypts, and thriving wildlife, all converging into the majestic Great Eastern Tiers. I was there not long ago, and yes, it truly deserves the visit.  Why do we like it? In 1829, the narrative of Kelvedon Estate began with the arrival of Francis and Anna Maria Cotton, daring pioneers who sailed from England, originally destined for New South Wales, the allure of Tasmania, coupled with the promise of prosperity, prompted them to make this coastal haven their home. The Pinot Noir is so lively, fresh, and smooth. Notes are of dark fruit such black cherries and even of dark chocolate.
