Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey - Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge 1er Cru 'La Boudriotte' - 2023

2023 is the first vintage of this wine for Pierre-Yves   One plot is in Boudriotte itself and one in Fairendes, vinified together. The Fairendes component is older with very small grapes, so this was vinified as whole bunches, added into the fermentation vat in layers alternating with the destemmed fruit. A deeper more robust purple, a clear heady raspberry fruit, still with lees in suspension, and a tannin or two. Drink from 2029-2035. Tasted Oct 2024. Jasper Morris MW, INSIDE BURGUNDY
