About Triennes....we will mention two names: Jacques Seysses from Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaine from Domaine de la Romaneé-Conti. It was founded in 1989 by the two superstars of Burgundy. This estate, high up in the hills of the Var region of Provence, is fast establishing itself as one of the finest in the region. It is a 40 hectares Domaine which a range of great quality wines using grape varieties including Syrah, Viognier, Carignan, Cinsault, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The cool nights and slow ripening produces top quality fruit that is shaped into ripe but extremely elegant wines by Jacques's talented son, Jeremy, who runs the estate. It's also worth noting that Domaine de Triennes have an organic Ecocert certification Why do we like it? It is delicious! and probably the best value for money rose wine we know! It has plenty of red fruit aromas and a refreshing mouthfeel with a delicate floral note. As warmer days are on the way, Triennes rose will feel just right.
