Domaine Cecile Tremblay - Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru - 2019

Last year, I posed the question of whether the 2019 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru might be Tremblay's best wine to date. Drinking it again this spring, I am left with no doubt. What's more, it's also one of the most compelling Burgundies produced in this great vintage. Bursting with aromas of raspberries and sweet red fruits mingled with rose petals, blood orange, exotic spices and a subtle hint of espresso roast, it's full-bodied, layered and enveloping, with incredible depth at the core, beautifully refined tannins and a long, expansive finish.
