Their Crayères 8-hectare vineyard block had been acquired in 2004. Their inaugural Terre à Terre wine emerged in 2008 as a Sauvignon Blanc sourced from the Crayères Vineyard. Subsequently, in 2009, they produced their first Cabernet Sauvignon from the same plot, followed by their maiden Cabernet Franc and Shiraz in 2014. During the preparation of the vineyard block for planting, an entrance to a network of limestone caves was unearthed. Thus, they christened the vineyard Crayères, drawing from the local term for the underground cave network found in the Champagne region.Why do we like it?
