Scorpo Old Cherry Orchard Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir 2021

The site of this Scorpo Old Cherry Orchard Pinot was originally Paul's orchard, which produced a lot of excellent quality fruit. So he removed all of that and put in a high-density planting of Pinot Noir.  And what a great idea that was. This is a subtle and tightly packed wine that shows itself slowly. The evolution in the glass, and over several nights is something to behold. Lots of red fruits, a touch of rind, a touch sour but fresh and floral too. The palate is seamless and smooth, with fruit weight building gradually.Chuck it in a decanter now or leave it for 7 plus years.
