A very fresh and pretty if reticent nose only grudgingly reveals its aromas of essence of various red berries, pungent earth and subtle floral nuances that are also trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is both good cut and detail to the solidly powerful and relatively big-bodied flavors that aren't quite as intense though they do offer very fine length on the more firmly structured and youthfully austere finish where a touch of warmth emerges. 93 Points Allen Meadows, Burghound
