Domaine Cecile Tremblay - Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru - 2021

The 2021 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru, which incidentally neighbours Bertrand Dugat's plot, has a fragrant and very pure bouquet with red cherries, crushed strawberry, potpourri and pressed roses. Tight at first but it gains generosity. The palate is medium-bodied with finely-chiselled tannins, very silky in texture, cohesive and tender yet paradoxically with backbone that will ensure a long future.
