Dense purple with a nutty character to the nose that hides the immediate fruit. In these grown-up appellations one rather loses sight of the whole bunch component. There is real energy at the back and now the stems do come into play with their white pepper tingle and some rose petal aromatics around the dense black fruit. 93-95 Points Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy The 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Cras is a fine success in the making, unfurling to reveal scents of cassis, blackberries, smoked meats and loamy soil.
