Worlds Apart - In the Flowers Riesling - 2022

Eden Valley, Springton. Holds 11 grams of residual sugar, “one of my favourite winemaking things is saying, ‘that’s balanced, stop it!'”, says winemaker Louis Schofield, and so this wine gets made. Delicious. Moreish and skolable, a wicked riesling of come hither nature. Scents of mixed peel, green apple, a touch of honey. Flavours similar, albeit a little yeasty-nuttiness sneaks in for complexity. It’s high acid and tension but manages a juicy deliciousness too. Crackles along with freshness and vitality.
